Bahamas Government Recognition
As a native of the Bahamas, Gina Mortimer Storr played a significant role in the development of Junkanoo in the Bahamas.
In her role as the administrator of this national cultural expression for many years, Gina was the driving force behind the implementation of a Junior Junkanoo Parade that had at its center, the school children from around the country.
As a result of her efforts, the 2005 Junior Junkanoo Parade was named in her honor. Following her stellar performance in the successful implementation and promotion of the parade, the official sponsors of the event since its inception, Esso Standard Oil, recruited Gina to become a part of their team and she was assigned to help with their sales, marketing and promotions efforts. This resulted in a 7 year stint which ended when she relocated to the US to join her husband.
Gina currently resides in Central Florida where she operates a successful Online Business Development and Social Media Management Firm from her home office.
