All of the websites I create are built on the WordPress platform. Mostly because it is one of the most stable options AND, because, with the right theme, it is user friendly and even people who are not so “tech savy” can usually manage to update a website themselves. This translates into savings both financially and allows for more timely action for busines owerners who have aneed for frequently changing content.
All WordPress sites require a Theme and there are literally thousands to choose from. After using WordPress for over 10 years, although I’ve use several, I’ve resorted to mostly using these 2, as I find them each to be adequate, intutitve and user friendly for most types of business:
- Divi from Elegant Themes – currently the most popular WordPress theme in the marketplae.
- Parallax Pro with Genesis from Studio Press – Similar to Divi though not as flexible, it is quite adequate for many business types.
These themes I’ve used for more specialised types of businesses:
- Author Pro with Genesis from Studio Press – As the name depicts, this theme saves time for sites owned by Authors.
- Education Pro with Genesis from Studio Press – I like this clean theme for businesses that are in the educational industry.
- Smart Passive Income with Genesis from Studio Press – this theme, in use on this site, has some great features for someone who wants to set up their site and watch it earn money while they sleep
